Nautilus Food (Shanghai) Co. LTD (www.nautilusfood-china.com) is an
Import / Export Company specialized in Food products, managing a turn
over of around (14 Millions USD).
We have two really distinct activities:
1/ Import of canned tuna from Thailand under the Brand NAUTILUS. Then
we distribute our products all over China through retailers (like
Carrefour, Parkson, City Shopping…) and distributors.
2/ Export various canned goods and frozen goods and non-food products
processed in China. Our overseas markets are in EU, Canada, USA,
Australia, Middle East…
We are looking for an Operating Manager in charge of these 2
activities. On top of that, this Operating Manager will have to manage
a multicultural team of 7 people and defend the interests of the
company by developing the business.
Background:
1/ 3 to 5 working years experience, preferably in International Trading.
2/ Excellent English (oral and writing as all communications will be
in English).
3/ Good organization and management skills.
4/ Ready for traveling and visiting Chinese factories all over China.
5/ Chinese speaker will be a plus.

TASKS
To lead & manage the national quality team
-Quality management of fresh products suppliers (Butchery & poultry,
salad bar, Fish. Fruits &
vegetables…)
-Quality management of grocery products & packaging
To provide technical support to merchandise, operation or other
internal departments
To validate quality control plan & ensure Lab management
To undertake quality investigation and determine the issues
To appreciate latest government legislation & adapt it to our daily operation
To Supervise sustainable development projects
-Communicate with associations and NGOs.
-Coordinate social/environment projects.
-SKILLS
The candidate should have strong management skills (management
experience is required).
The candidate should be positive, proactive and solution-oriented.
The candidate should have the ability to listen and anticipate needs,
practical and be enterprising.
The candidate should have a food safety or quality background (master degree).
The candidate has to be well-organized.
Effective communication skills in English are required (French is a
plus) for internal & external
communication.
OTHERS
Based in Shanghai with possible business trips
International experience in quality is required.
